You will have a design engineering background and be qualified to degree standard. Self-motivated you will be able to focus on the demands of a busy office environment whilst working in a team structure. The ability to make decisions and judgement in a contractual situation involving large value components is essential, as is a full understanding of the technical issues in the design of the product.

Applicants to be qualified to degree level in a related discipline and preferably experienced in the practical application of noise control techniques. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Duties and responsibilities include:

• Preparation of mechanical acoustic design solutions for a range of noise control equipment.
• Reviewing of client specifications, clearly identifying technical/engineering requirements.
• Ensuring timely completion of complex design engineering work
• Selecting materials and developing product designs, whilst considering technical, commercial and manufacturing constraints.
